What is FixMyEnglish?

FixMyEnglish is an writing correction tool built specifically for English learners. You paste in a piece of text — an email, a message, a short essay — and it corrects your mistakes. Not just corrects them, but explains each one, so you understand what went wrong and why.

The new writing report

Here's a question that's harder to answer than it sounds: how good is your English writing, actually?

Most learners have a rough sense of their level. But unless you've taken a formal exam or had detailed feedback from a teacher, it's difficult to know with any certainty. And it's even harder to know whether your English is genuinely improving over time.

That's what the new writing report is designed to answer.

Every time you submit a piece of writing, FixMyEnglish now builds a report that shows you:

• your estimated English writing level
• your error rate — how often you're making mistakes relative to the length of your text
• the types of errors you make most often (grammar, vocabulary, punctuation, and so on)
• the areas you should focus on next

The more you use the tool, the more useful the report becomes. Over time, you can see whether your error rate is falling, whether you're repeating the same types of mistake, and where there's still room to improve.
