For many, summertime means putting on your “out of office” auto-responder, lounging by the beach, and most certainly giving yourself a well-earned break from studying English.

But not for everyone.

I like to set a summer task, and this year that came in the form of challenging members of Leonardo English to read The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, a 274-page book in English.

The reason for this was that this would be the subject of our August book club.

I’m pleased to say that a brave group of curious minds took up the challenge, and we had a wonderful evening discussing language, narration style, Asperberger’s and more.

It turned out that the book was highly enjoyed by everyone, and the fact that the narrator was a 15-year-old boy meant that the language was relatively accessible. If you are looking for an English book to read, I would highly recommend it!

If you're a Pro member of Leonardo English, keep a lookout for the next session.

And if you're not yet a member but this sounds like fun, I'd love for you to check out our membership options.
