At Leonardo English, we’re always looking for ways to make learning English through our podcast, English Learning for Curious Minds, easier and more effective.
So far this year, we’ve released a number of exciting updates to the website.
These updates are designed to help you find episodes more easily, practise shadowing with confidence, and make it easier to use our podcasts with AI tools like ChatGPT.
Yay!
If you’d rather watch a walkthrough, here’s the full video:
1. A Redesigned Podcast Library
We completely rebuilt our episode library to make it much easier to navigate.
- Search by title, number, or keyword: quickly find exactly what you’re looking for.
- Filter by category or tag: whether you’re interested in philosophy, history, or business, you’ll find curated lists of episodes.
- Discover hidden gems: explore by tags like Argentina, Buddhism, or 1950s and uncover episodes you might never have found otherwise.
- Free vs. member-only filters: instantly see which episodes come with free transcripts or are part of the member-only catalogue.
2. Clickable Transcripts for Shadowing Practice
One of the most popular learning methods with our listeners is shadowing — repeating what you hear, line by line, to improve pronunciation and fluency.
We’ve made this easier than ever: transcripts now have clickable timestamps. Just click on a sentence and the audio jumps to that exact moment.
This means you can practise one sentence again and again without the hassle of rewinding manually.
It’s also pretty useful even if you aren’t doing shadowing - it means it’s much easier to go to a specific section of the episode.
3. Copy Entire Transcripts with One Click
We know many learners use English Learning for Curious Minds alongside ChatGPT or other AI tools. To make this seamless, we added a “Copy Transcript” button.
With one click, you can paste the full transcript into ChatGPT and:
- Create quizzes on phrasal verbs or idioms.
- Ask for natural alternatives to new vocabulary.
- Generate comprehension questions.
By the way, if you’re interested in learning more about doing this, here's a video on how to use ChatGPT with podcasts to learn English.
4. Mobile-Friendly Learning
The entire website is now better optimised for mobile.
The interactive transcript functionality was previously a little unreliable on certain mobile devices. Not anymore.
Translations, transcripts, and clickable timestamps all work beautifully and smoothly on your phone — so you can study anywhere.
What’s Next?
These features were inspired by feedback from our learners. We’re continuing to build on your ideas to make English Learning for Curious Minds the most effective way to learn English through podcasts.
